EJD Forestry is delighted to support the Glaisters Bridge Community Woodland.
EJD Forestry helped to facilitate a 20 year lease between Foresight Group (land owner) and the Upper Urr Environment Trust (representing the local community) to enable people living in the area to shape and benefit from this natural resource in their neighbourhood.
Complementing Foresight’s larger woodland creation scheme the local community have chosen to plant the land with trees and are using it to hold various events and activities focussing on the natural environment.
An inspirational example of the benefits to both people and wildlife that a collaboration between landowners and local communities can bring.
